(mini) Weight Loss Academy – Episode 3: Energy Is Generated

Taylor Swift may have been on to something when she told us to “Shake It Off”. But we’re not talking about your ex here, we’re talking about generating energy.


The common complaints of “I’m too tired”, “I don’t have any energy” and “It’s too hard” can be combated by shaking your body - literally. Nothing too hard or crazy, but enough to awaken the body from a state of inactivity, to “I’m ready to smash this workout”.

There were things I never tasted growing up, like health.


In our house, if I didn't eat everything on my plate, it was disrespectful.


When I got into the real world, I was like a man at the buffet bar and I needed to eat everything.


Then, I got to travel around the world discussing transformation with organisations and tasting deliciousness in those lands.


I went to Korea, Boston, San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Mexico, Singapore, and Malaysia and I got to eat everything, but I didn't yet understand the keys to transforming my own health.


The world is a delicious and amazing place when we travel and eat amazing food, but my excess weight got in the way of the true adventure of travel.


I am Oscar Chavez and in this five-part series, I'm saying to you


I'm going to teach you to lose weight and keep it off which is the hardest part. I'm going to talk to you about the things that no one has ever talked to you about before and some of this stuff might make you feel a little bit sensitive.


So let me ask you a question, do you want the red pill or the blue pill?


Alright. Episode number three.


You made it, which means that you're already ahead of most people when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off because you're actually interested in knowing the truth. And so, that gets me excited. And so, congratulations for watching this video.


This video is called 'Energy Is Generated' and so, this is where things start to get a little bit interesting.


So if you've missed the first two episodes, then please go back and watch that because they're gonna teach you the foundational blocks you need to understand in order to get this episode. So please don't skip ahead. Go back to episode one. There's five videos as part of this series, so go back there watch that if you haven't watched that. But if you have, then keep watching.


This one's super important but it will mean nothing without the last two lessons. So if you haven't watched it, go back there and watch it.


And so this one, I need to teach you a little bit of science.


So when you switch on a light bulb, that energy needs to come from somewhere. Now, the original form of energy is not actually usable at all. It needs to go through a transformational process.


And so, the modern world today? Usually, the energy source comes from steam. So we use an energy source and we use that energy source in order to create steam. And then, the steam turns like some sort of wheel or something, and then we generate energy from that and that's what goes into our power grid, to turn it on our lights and stuff like that.


But the original source of energy is not actually usable, but most of you can't do that... The body's natural process for burning energy normally happens when you sleep, but most of you can't actually do that. And more information on that in my web class, which will be on the links, which I've been telling you about.


The body turns food into fuel to power your muscles and then exercise actually helps you convert that food into nutrients. I've used an incredibly simple analogy here which is, which is wildly wrong. But it's a simple principle and it's the concept that makes sense here.


So many of you think like, I'm too tired to go to the gym after work or I'm too tired to exercise after work.


So the question you could ask yourself is well what energy have you created? Like, if you've been sitting at your desk all day doing nothing and you haven't been eating anything other than salads, then how else could you possibly feel? How else could you possibly feel when you go on a diet and you're not feeding your body enough and you're like I have no energy to do anything. It's like, of course that's the way you feel. There's no other way to feel than that.


So the only way you're gonna feel, is you're gonna feel stressed, tired and hungry. And that's just gonna make you more stressed, tired and hungry and you're just gonna be in this stress loop all the time.


And then life is just stressful too. You've got bills to pay, you've got mouths to feed. Then you've got these friends that want to tell you about all their problems and all their stresses, and you're such a good friend that you just listen to them all the time. And then, what's left for you?


What's left in your tank in order for you to feel fulfilled?


So you really have to value energy creation and the only way that you can do that is if you're eating and if you're exercising, otherwise you're not gonna feel any good.


And if you don't do this and you'll just sit there and complain, like everybody else and you'll be like everybody else.

And did you know that five people die to obesity every single minute?


I'm not even kidding. Like, five people every single minute die to this disease that could be prevented if you look at the pillars that we've talked about in the other two videos, and in this video, which is to generate energy and you've got another two videos to watch after this, which I'm going to teach you the fundamentals of how to just deal with yourself.


And so five people. Like, that, that's crazy. And the research is out there that says that you have a higher chance of dying from a drug or medication overdose than you do from being able to lose your weight and keep it off.


And I mean I don't take drugs and I don't have prescription drugs either, but to think that I've got a higher chance of overdosing on that stuff and dying is like, just, just absolutely blows my mind. It's like crazy to think that the chances are higher. That's why I've created this video series to help you on your really really really hard journey of losing your weight and keeping it off and I believe in you, I believe that you can do it.


But anyway, let's keep going.


And so just think about that because obesity is no joke and like what pisses me off is that the profits of the weight loss industry keep going up, and up, and up every year.


Also, the rate of obesity keeps going up, and up, and up every year. And the rate of suicide and depression goes up every year, and year, and year.


It's like, what the heck is going on with the world?


And so why? Why does this happen? It's because life is damn hard.


And then you have to juggle like, healthy eating and exercise on top of that? It's like this thing that just can't be possible, right? And it's not possible unless you start to identify your priorities differently.


And unless you start to identify your priorities differently then you're never gonna get the results that you want. So, you have to look at your priorities right now and go, what are they? If you do a prioritization change in your life, that's when you're gonna start to get results.


So like, I totally get it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, our lives are busy, absolutely. But if you'd like to live healthier longer, then type yes in the comments.

The key here is that you constantly have to put a focus on generating energy, especially if you've got these problems like vitamin D deficiencies, fibromyalgia, if you've got things like a thyroid problem, if you've got like, polycystic ovarian syndrome.


Then like, if you have these problems then it's definitely imperative for you to be creating energy and not sitting there going, I guess this is the cards that I've been dealt. I guess this is just my life now. I guess this is the body that I have. It's like no! It's not that.


If you're willing to put in a fight and you're willing to generate energy, and you're willing to just completely strip away all these excuses from your life, you can get what you want. You've just got to want it bad enough.


You've gotta want it bad enough that when that little shoulder - that little devil on your shoulder is poking you all the time saying, no you're gonna eat this. You're gonna eat this. You've gotta eat this. You're gonna feel better. You're gonna feel amazing when you eat this.


If you can like, power up and you can say, no I'm not going to accept this life for me, then I know you can get results. All these issues that we talked about like fibromyalgia and polycystic ovarian syndrome, it's like, I talk to a lot of people that have these problems and that's how I know so much about it.


And so for those people, for you, it's very important that you have the philosophy that you generate energy because if you don't generate energy through food and exercise, then it's gonna be really hard for you to get your results.


And so, if you're working for an employer that doesn't value overall health and well-being, then you're working for a bullshit employer, like, someone that doesn't actually value you as part of their organization. It's time to find a new employer.


That is one of the cornerstone principles of a good business. Like, it cares about you as the individual and they put your health and well-being at the forefront of everything that they do, then they're a good employer. Because the principle of any business is if you look after your customers they will take care of the profits, then if you look after employees they will look after the customers.


And so if you're working for a company that doesn't value health, then get out of that company and find a new bullshit job, because then, you're gonna work for someone that actually cares about your well-being.


You know why? 'cause an exercised body helps you regulate your mood better. It helps drive clarity within your life, and that employer actually gets the benefit of that. So you're a more productive employee if you actually start putting your health first.


And I'm not saying that like, you want to be a better employee and therefore you gonna put your health first. It's like, put your health first because you're gonna live healthier longer. Put your health first because you're gonna have a better quality of life.


And they're the things that you should be excited about with me.


Like, I'm serious. A healthier you is a healthier everybody because the people around you are happier as well. Like, your kids are gonna be happier that you have more energy to play with them. Like, your family is gonna be happier that you have more energy to enjoy the time that you have together.


And so, a lot of people like, when we speak and when we talk and when you write to me, and you're like yeah, I feel horrible that I can't take my kids for a walk. Yeah, I feel horrible that I wanted to walk up that mountain with my kids, but I had to let my partner do it because I was just too tired. My knees hurt, my ankles hurt, my back hurts. My this hurts, my that hurts. I have this problem, that problem.


It's like, I see the effects so much and not just because I've lived in your shoes, but because I hear- like, I've made it my life's mission is to help people get healthier and to live healthier longer right?


And so, I hear a lot of the complaints that people have all the time about like, I have this problem and that problem, that problem, this problem. That's like, I feel horrible that like, yeah, like nobody's helping you. The government's not helping you. The media isn't helping you. Like, there's no real help out there.


And so that's why I come here and I say look here, we're just gonna speak truth here. I'm just gonna help you get to your goal and if you can overcome yourself, that's like the biggest obstacle - you are standing in your way.


That is the truth and it's the truth that I've lived through and it's the truth that I help people overcome as well.


And so, you're standing in your own way. You are the only one standing in between the life that you envision and the life that you want, and the life that you have now. You're the only thing stopping you from achieving that ideal.


So, so, get out there and just generate energy. Go now. Do ten push-ups. Like, do ten push-ups. Like, go out and generate energy 'cause every time you do this kind of thing you're generating energy from yourself and that's an incredibly great thing.

So if you're feeling tired, if you're like, I'm too tired to exercise, like, because you haven't generated energy.


So eat something and then get out there and generate more energy and your- you will see your life will start to transform. It's like a transformational experience.


And again, this web class is all about overcoming yourself. It's like helping you strip away the parts of you that you don't want to exist, because there are parts of you that are stopping you from getting to where you want to go. And so, that's what this web class is about. That's what this series is about.

Then they're the type of people that I help get to their goal a lot quicker, that's my life's purpose.

And so the value of today's story, remember please, generate energy. That's one of the mindsets you need to have in order to get to your results.


If you're tired, go and generate energy. If you feel lazy, you know, if you set the alarm for yourself to get up and go to the gym in the morning and you snooze, who do you have to blame? Who do you have to blame but yourself?


And so this is the whole point, you've got to take the accountability onto your own shoulders. You've got to get out there, you've gonna stop being lazy.


Okay, again, I'm sorry, you know, I don't mean to offend anyone but that's the truth. It's lazy.


And so there are mornings that I get up in the morning, I set my alarm and I click on the snooze and I sleep in. I'm being lazy. And I'm not gonna get the results in my life if I'm going to be sleeping in, and so no snooze button.


If you can implement one thing from today, from this web class, then just stop pressing the snooze button. That's like one of the keys. Like, that's one of the things that changed my life. It's like, destroying the snooze button? That's like, that's pushing me outside of my comfort zone, like, getting up once and then not going back to sleep?


It's like, sometimes I do it very rarely, I do, I go back to sleep because I'm tired. But again, just excuses, and I'm only holding myself back from those excuses.


And so today's lesson - generate energy. Let it become part of you, like, generate energy. That's number one.
